The Third Bathroom

The client’s third bathroom had long been out of service following an incident of their oldest child trying to dispose of kitty litter down the toilet. The original ask was to replace the old toilet, and upon inspection we found that the plumbing had long ago rotted away and failed beneath the sink. The vanity cabinet was severely damaged from the leak, and mold had set in on the drywall. We removed the damaged drywall and treated the surrounding area with mold spray, installed new wall board along with a new vanity and sink, and installed a single piece high efficiency toilet. The homeowner enjoys drywall work and so decided to complete the drywall finishing portion of the job as sweat equity. They also intend to replace all the flooring in the bathroom in the future, and so for now exposed concrete remains around the new vanity.

The Thirsty Washing Machine

The client called because their washing machine was throwing an error code indicating inadequate water supply. On inspection, the old rubber supply hoses were more than half clogged with mineral buildup, and the existing valves no longer functioned to shutoff the water supply. Replaced with new 1/4 turn ball valves to simplify water shutoff for emergencies and repairs, and new braided steel supply lines.
